Track of The Week: Unbelievable Truth ‘Roadside#2’

TRACK OF THE WEEK: Keyside ‘Rhianna, Please Don’t Cry’
This week is not a new track but a nod & acknowledgement of a classic that escaped many first time around but has gained a wider deserved audience over recent years – much to do with Mick Heads and his fantastic trilogy of solo albums and live gigs that have been real music highlight in recent times.
Form is temporary, class is permanent… HMS FABLE had been one of those word-of-mouth albums that has been getting more acclaim and accolades with every passing year, gaining momentum and overdue attention with online clamour that has led to a long-awaited vinyl re – issue of the Head brother’s opus released originally in 1999 (Last classic album of the 90s)
We could have picked any from the album and it would have been justified, from the sweeping and glorious opening of Natalies Party, the ever-present Comedy to the closing track Daniella.
Michael Head and the Red Elastic band play the Shiiine on Weekender main stage on the Sunday. There is many on the “To watch” list, but none written bolder than Mick Head.
HMS FABLE is out now while stocks last. Full details on the Mick Head social pages.
