TRACK OF THE WEEK: Space Monkeys: Keep on trippin on (Beat Thief’s 2025 rework)
A remixed classic and absolute banger to kick off this years first track of the week, also one that ties in nicely with a double celebration for us and the Space Monkeys.
2025 is a milestone for the Monkeys that sees them hurtle past the 30-year (yes you read that right) signpost since their formation and release of the debut single on Tony Wilsons FACTORY TWO label. The majestic debut single Keep on Trippin On has been reworked by founding member Tony Pipes aka (the infamous Beat Thief) to and keep the Monkeys music bouncing into this celebration year.
February and March will see the band play two special live sets. First up is the headline celebration gig at their spiritual home and scene of some special nights at their beloved Band on the Wall (brilliant venue) in Manchester on Valentines night. There are remarkably a few tickets left (for now) with some special guests yet to be announced.
March is our 10th anniversary special in Skegness and we are delighted to have Space Monkeys play – who graced the stage at our inaugural Shiiine on weekender in 2015…great memories.
