Track of The Week: Unbelievable Truth ‘Roadside#2’
Track of The Week: The Bluetones ‘Drive Thru’
The 14-year hiatus is over! (releasing new music that is)
The Bluetones are back out and about with a vibrant new reminder of what a brilliant band chemistry they have in the recording studio. A brand new four track EP that was premiered on recent live dates (Warrington for us) with lead track Drive Thru being the one that tweaked this pair of ears most.
“For the first time since we formed the music isn’t driven by an outside agenda, or a need to fill somebody else’s schedule. It feels like the purest thing we’ve done since we were a signed band” says frontman Mark Morriss.
It is great to have the Bluetones back making new music and finding a new gear when it comes to songwriting – back alongside a lot of their contemporaries who are having Indian summers and finding new audiences for their music, be it back catalogue or new inspiration. They have never been away in live capacity of course, always brilliant.
The Drive Thru EP is available via the band’s website and socials on download or good old Vinyl & CD
The band are heading out on tour in October & November so check out the dates via the socials as well.
